Useful Settings

How It Works
There are no traditional levels. Power comes from MODS, not gear rarity. Your Warframe and weapons each level to 30 (grants mod capacity). Your overall Mastery Rank rises by leveling unique gear for the first time. Higher MR unlocks new weapons, trade slots, and daily standing caps. Re-leveling the same item gives NO additional mastery.

Complete Junctions to unlock each planet. Pick up Once Awake quest, farm basic mods

⚠️ Don't Skip Quests
The main quests (The Second Dream, The War Within, The Sacrifice, The New War, Duviri Paradox, The Hex) are the backbone of Warframe. They unlock critical systems (Focus, Operator, Drifter) and are genuinely excellent storytelling. Avoid spoilers at all costs — the community takes this seriously.
Why It Matters
Warframe's movement system is one of the fastest and most fluid in any game. Mastering parkour is more important than mastering combat — if you're standing still, you're dying. Every Warframe has the same base parkour moves.
Core Moves
Bullet JumpCrouch + Jump — fast directional launch in any direction. This is your bread and butter
Double JumpTap Jump again midair — reposition or gain height
Aim GlideHold RMB midair — slow your fall, aim while floating (3 sec max)
SlideSprint + Crouch — fast ground movement, good for tight spaces
Roll / DodgeTap Sprint midair or while moving — 75% damage reduction during animation
Wall DashHold Jump at a wall — run up or across it. Resets your Double Jump
Wall LatchAim (RMB) at a wall — cling to it. Can cast abilities while latched
Edge GrabAutomatic — your frame grabs ledges and pulls up
Essential Combos
Standard TravelBullet Jump → Double Jump → Roll — fastest general movement
Long DistanceBullet Jump → Aim Glide → Double Jump → Aim Glide — maximizes airtime
Max HeightBullet Jump (aim straight up) → Melee → Double Jump — reaches very high places
Drop CancelTap Roll just before landing from height — prevents hard landing recovery
Tips
Bullet Jumps trigger a small Blast proc — breaks fans, grates, and knocks down nearby enemies
Rolling shakes off parasites (Latchers, Maggots, Leeches) and dispels some debuffs
You can chain Bullet Jump → Double Jump → Roll once per air cycle. Wall dashing resets the chain
Parkour mods (Mobilize, Aviator, Patagium) are useful early but not mandatory
The #1 Rule
Mods are everything. A fully modded starter weapon will outperform an unmodded endgame weapon. If you feel weak, the answer is almost always: check your mods. Not your gear, not your frame — your mods.
How Mods Work
Every weapon, frame, and companion has 8 mod slots
Each mod has a drain cost. Total drain can't exceed your mod capacity
Mod capacity = item level (max 30). Orokin Catalyst/Reactor doubles this to 60
Polarity symbols on slots halve matching mod costs — use Forma to add polarities
Mods rank up with Endo + Credits. Higher ranks = exponentially more expensive
⚠️ Early Game Tip
Don't max rank 10 mods yet. Rank 8 gives ~82% of the stats for ~25% of the total Endo cost. Save your resources until you have a steady Endo income.

Mod Sources
Enemy drops — most basic mods come from regular combat
Nightmare missions — dual-stat mods (two bonuses in one)
Corrupted Vault runs (Derelict/Deimos) — powerful trade-off mods like Blind Rage, Fleeting Expertise
Nightwave — essential mods cycle through the Nightwave cred store
Trading with players — if you need a specific rare mod, warframe.market is your friend
How Elements Combine
Elemental mods combine based on slot position: top-left to bottom-right. Two primary elements next to each other merge into a combined element. Innate weapon elements combine last. The ORDER of your mods determines what you get — rearrange to change the output.

Free to Play — Really
Everything gameplay-relevant can be earned without spending real money. Platinum (premium currency) is tradeable between players. You can farm items and sell them for Plat. The ONLY things Plat is truly needed for are inventory slots and cosmetics.
⚠️ Starter Platinum Rules
You start with 50 Platinum. Do NOT spend it on weapons or frames — they can all be farmed. Spend it on: 1 Warframe slot (20p) + 4 weapon slots (2×12p = 24p). That leaves 6p. Save it. If you get a 75% login discount, that's the best time to buy Plat.

Sell Prime junk from relic runs — 2-6p per part, adds up fast
Farm & sell Prime sets — full sets sell for 30-300p+ depending on demand
Sell rare mods — Nightmare, Corrupted, and Augment mods sell well
Sell Syndicate weapons & augments — steady passive income
Sell Riven mods — can be extremely valuable for meta weapons

Index (Neptune) — fastest credit farm, 200k-250k per 5-minute run
Dark Sector missions (e.g., Seimeni, Ceres) — 20k+ per 5-wave defense

Railjack missions — solid credit rewards at higher tiers
Sell duplicate mods — clear out junk from Equipment → Inventory

Your First Choice
You pick one of three starter Warframes. This choice barely matters long-term — you'll build dozens of frames eventually. Pick whichever sounds fun. If truly unsure, Excalibur is the safest pick because he's the hardest to farm later.

⚔️ ExcaliburBalanced melee-focused frame. Exalted Blade (4) is a powerful energy sword. Easy to use, effective through endgame. Hardest starter to re-acquire — only drops from one boss
🧲 MagCaster frame — Magnetize creates damage bubbles, Pull groups enemies. Excellent crowd control. Easy to farm later from The Sergeant (Phobos)
⚡ VoltVersatile — speed buffs, electric shields, AoE nuke. Great solo & team utility. Available from clan research dojo later
Best Early Farms
🦏 RhinoFrom Jackal (Venus). Iron Skin makes you nearly unkillable. THE best "training wheels" frame. Farm this ASAP
🔥 EmberFrom General Sargas Ruk (Saturn). AoE fire abilities clear rooms. Simple and effective
❄️ FrostFrom Lech Kril (Ceres). Snow Globe protects objectives in Defense/Mobile Defense
🐒 WukongFrom clan dojo research. Clone fights alongside you, very tanky, great mobility. Join a clan to access
⚠️ Join a Clan Early
Clans unlock access to exclusive weapons and Warframes through the Dojo. Some of the best early gear (Hek shotgun, Wukong, Nezha, Volt if you didn't pick him) requires clan research. Ask in Recruit Chat: "LF clan inv" — you'll get offers immediately.

Zenurik ★Energy regeneration — up to 5/sec. Best for beginners by far. Pick this if unsure
NaramonMelee affinity & combo duration. Good for melee-focused builds
