How It Works
No levels. You progress by getting better gear through BARTER chains — trading zone-specific resources to NPCs for upgraded weapons and armor. Each zone has unique resources. Gear has 5 tiers: Lockpick → Newbie → Stalker → Veteran → Master.
Zone Order
1
Tutorial
Try all guns here — this is your only free sandbox
2
Swamps
Starting zone. PvE focused. Farm Green Mold + Swamp Stones. Do ALL quests & side quests before leaving
3
Cordon
Big difficulty spike. More PvP. New barter lines. Be sure you have 100+ Radiation Protection before entering
4
Agroprom / Dark Valley
Faction-specific farming zones. Easier seed farming than Cordon
5
Rostok / Bar Area
Mid-game hub. Heavier PvP. Sub-faction territory begins
6
North Zones
Endgame. Join a sub-faction first (Duty/Freedom or Mercs/Covenant)
⚠️ Don't Rush the Main Quest
Completing the storyline pushes you to veteran servers permanently. Farm and upgrade at each tier first. Once your gear score goes up, you're moved to higher-tier servers and can't go back. Don't rush through zones — experienced players strongly recommend farming proper gear before advancing the story.
🛡️ PvE
Main story quests (cinematic, non-linear)
Side quests from NPCs (great rewards — don't skip)
Daily & weekly contracts (board at base)
Clear mutant dens / human hideouts (red hexagons on map)
Anomalous Rifts (instanced PvE dungeons)
Laboratories (instanced PvE content)
Metal detecting (needs detector + spawn zone knowledge)
Artifact hunting (use bolts to detect anomalies, loot after emissions)
⚔️ PvP
Open-world faction warfare (Stalkers vs Bandits — always hostile)
Faction outpost raids (~15k rubles + scraps per clear)
Faction wars (large-scale territory fights)
Session modes: TDM, Domination, Dead Time (PvPvE)
Clan Wars (organized competitive)
💼 Economy & Crafting
Barter system (trade resources to NPCs for gear upgrades)
Auction house (player market — accessible from PDA)
Delivery contracts (transport items between zones for ~20k rubles)
Sell junk / artifacts / mutant parts to the Buyer NPC
Hideout building (personal base — furniture, crafting stations)
Trade packs (preset buy lists — set up at merchant, buy with T)
🌐 Events
Emissions — sky turns red, take shelter UNDERGROUND or die. Artifacts spawn at boosted rates for 45 min after
Seasonal battle pass (purchasable with in-game rubles)
Limited-time events with crates and exclusive gear
💀 Death & Loot
You keep your personal (bound) gear. You drop collected resources as a lost backpack. Other players CANNOT open your backpack — they can sell it or mail it to you. Food is for quests, not sustenance.
☣️ Contamination
Four types: Radiation, Bioinfection, Thermal, Psy. Every 100 points of protection gives immunity to one tier of intensity. Get 100 Rad Protection BEFORE leaving Cordon.
🔴 Emissions
Random every 2-4 hours. Sky turns red, ground shakes. You have ~1-2 minutes to get UNDERGROUND. Indoors doesn't count — only bunkers and tunnels. Mark shelters on your map as you find them.
⚡ Anomalies
Throw bolts (key 5) to detect them. Look for air distortion and heat waves. They will kill you fast if you walk in blind.
📡 Minimap Intel
The number on your minimap = players within ~50m. The green bar = your noise level. PDA beeps when players enter/leave your detection range.
🛡️ Armor Choice
Early combat armors are a TRAP — they lack radiation protection. Go with research/scientific suit lines. These let you actually progress to later zones.
Free vs Paid
The game is fully free-to-play. All items are earnable in-game. Real money only buys: Premium subscription, cosmetic cases, and battle pass — all of which can ALSO be bought with in-game rubles on the auction house.
Premium Perks
+25% crafting resources from open-world events
+15% sellable loot from events
Choose your quest reward (big QoL)
NOT required — just speeds up the grind
Earning Rubles
Quests & daily contracts (~20k+ per quest)
Artifact farming (100k+/hr in high-tier zones)
Auction house flipping
Clearing faction outposts (~15k each + loot)
Delivery contracts (risky but ~20k payout)
Sell everything early — collect all loot

Reputation
Each base has reputation levels. Clear events and do side quests to earn rep. Higher rep unlocks better barter gear and extra personal storage shelves. Double-click a base icon on the map to check your rep.
